July 25th 2013, after a long day chasing a severe thunderstorm across much of N. Ireland we ended up arriving at the Co. Antrim coast where we ended our chase, had a nice take away, then got a shock when this storm suddenly exploded to life so we got out for a few late evening shots. This was taken from Portballintrae looking E, this was a massive multicell thunderstorm which radar informed us was located over W. Scotland so it was very far away indeed, sferics charts showed plenty of c-g lightning from it, check out the flanking line of towers building from the rear as it moved from R to L, that's my mate Paul Martin in the frame, read the report for more information. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email. |
