Beautiful sunset captured from Kildress church outside Cookstown on April 9th 2015 during a lovely period of warm high pressure weather over the Easter holidays. This was captured at 400mm using the 100-400mm USM lens, the solar disk was large and comfortable to watch with the naked eye as it sank slowly into a layer of haze hugging the flat horizon in the warm evening light accompanied by the peaceful sound of a distant lawn mower with Birds singing in the tree branches. The sun's disk sported a surreal yellow-red colour and at times a large sunspot could be glimpsed on the LCD screen, I also took time lapse video footage through this same lens which can be viewed on my youtube channel. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email. |
