Shelf cloud on a nasty beast of a storm captured over the open countryside adjacent to the Omagh Road in Co. Tyrone on June 9th 2014. This storm had frequent and dangerous pink-coloured c-g lightning and a green colour within the precipitation core - a trait typically seen in severe thunderstorms in the USA, the storm hit us soon after this image was taken delivering hail stones larger than marbles, the radar signature was a top of the scale white echo which lasted for a long time, this is the monster at wide angle before it impacted us, read the report for more information. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email. |
