One of my earlier NLC images taken from outside Maghera on June 24th 2005, for this image I used a Fuji Finepix E510 5.2MP point and shoot digital camera which I mounted on a tripod and shot at night mode which consisted of a 2 second exposure at ISO400, considering the primitive camera it didn't do such a bad job at all documenting the display. The pearly-white NLCs with complex whirls, lacunosus holes and bands looked like a ghostly banshee form against the dark surroundings and the lights from the only house in the area. The place no longer looks like this and is now a large housing estate with street lights so this image definitely evokes strong memories for me - especially as I currently live here now. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email. |
