Night time at Ballintoy Harbour on the Co. Antrim coast on December 29th 2012 facing NW at a section of a storm line with my partner on a stormy night, we could feel a sustained blast of cold air blowing against us as the outflow hit trying to shake my camera. This scene looked surreal with the naked eye with the moonlit clouds approaching us in contrast to the sky directly below the clouds which was absolutely pitch black, it looked evil under there and no doubt copious amounts of hail stones where falling over the ocean, we were shocked we didn't get a bolt of lightning from this. The moonlit ocean looked utterly stunning to our keenly dark adapted eyes and if you look carefully you can see a very faint moonbow to the L of the large rock on the horizon which we didn't see visually at the time, read the full image report from this night here. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email. |
