My second ever storm chase to Co. Fermanagh on May 28th 2013 and my longest chase to date covering 150 miles and 11 hours on the road. I ended up catching four funnel clouds this day however the best was the also the biggest funnel of the day which I caught at 15.00 BST between Belleek and Kesh looking SE over Lusty Bay towards Enniskillen. This big funnel rotated for 5 min's over the green mountains with a great well defined tube which got my adrenalin pumping and which left my hands shaking due to the excitement. Including my previous trip this funnel coast me 300 miles, 20 hours, and over £50.00 to catch, and it was worth every second and penny!, here it is as seen through my telephoto lens - a well earned trophy from the chase, read the report for more information. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email. |
