C/2006 M4 SWAN on the evening of Oct 28th 2006 using the 10X50mm binoculars. The comet was faintly visible to the naked eye within the 'Keystone' of Hercules near the naked eye star 40 Herculi. The comet has faded rapidly since its outburst to magnitude 5.0, the tail was a beautiful sight stretching for 4 degrees by the east of globular cluster Messier 13.
