C/1999 S4 LINEAR on July 23rd 2000 at 00.43 LT in the 8" F/10 S.Cass at 77X. The comet was located in Ursa Major in the northern sky. My scope was set up on my front garden and using the finder chart in sky & telescope magazine I tracked down the comet and made these sketches at two different times showing the moving comet.
