A farewell gesture to comet C/2011 L4 Pan-STARRS after a fantastic shoot at Dunluce Castle on April 5th/6th 2013, this was towards the end of the session and before my girlfriend and I got in the car to drive home we decided to take this last image with the 50mm F/1.8 lens with the comet and M31 in front of us over the ocean, the sense of the ancient comet over ancient landscape was strong and being able to stand here together to enjoy the comet was the icing on the cake after a lot of busy nights chasing L4's tail while battling with bitter weather conditions, this moment in time was when it all climaxed, this is what comets are all about, read the report for more information. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email.
